    Mark 2:17

                       When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the

               physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

                                                             ESV

 Mark 2:17

                        And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a

                 physician., but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous , but sinners.”

1. lets start with They vs Those to us simple folks with a degree in working for a living

   seemingly nothing on the surface, but Those that went to seminary find that they know more than you and They understand the difference.

2. They – simply refers to a certain group of people

   Those- usually refers to something farther away.

3. My question is simple is Jesus speaking to someone close or far away?

4. Now lets look at Whole as opposed to Well.

5. Whole- Unbroken, complete the righteous are no perfect but they are whole but

   sinners are not whole they are broken and by repenting they can be whole.

6. Well – the first thing I think most people will think a physical ailment. So again sometimes words matter.
